The whole of this hamlet is open to guided and commented tours by the young owners who will share with you their passion for this exceptional heritage held by their family since 1786.

The 16th century castle of La Montagne was completely redesigned in the 18th century, in the style of the day, by the architect Jean-Baptiste Caristie.

The interiors of the castle that we are visiting were completely redecorated in 1840 by the Parisian architect Félix Durban, who is also known for the restoration of the castles of Blois, Chantilly and Fontainebleau.

We will also admire, in the main staircase, a large group of sculpted terracotta by Pierre-Louis Rouillard, entitled "the boar hunt". This work, a landmark for 19th century animal art, is classified as a Historic Monument (MH).
