Worth seeing in particular
The entire hamlet is open for guided tours and commentary by the young owners who will share their passion for this exceptional heritage held by their family since 1786.
The Château de La Montagne, dating from the 16th century, was completely remodeled in the 18th century, in the style of the day, by the architect Jean-Baptiste Caristie.
The interiors of the castle that can be visited were completely redecorated in 1840 by the Parisian architect Félix Durban, also known for the restoration of the castles of Blois, Chantilly and Fontainebleau.
In the grand staircase, one can also admire a large terracotta sculpture group by Pierre-Louis Rouillard, entitled "The Boar Hunt". This work, a significant example of 19th-century animal art, is listed as a Historical Monument (MH).
